Butterfly Garden Walk With A Docent

Enjoy the Butterfly Garden at Hagerman NWR with garden docents on hand to help you identify the Texas native plants and the butterflies in the garden.  Use our close-focus butterfly binoculars to get a really CLOSE look at plants, butterflies and other insects.  Special activities for families available: scavenger hunts, meet the Metamorphosis Puppet and more. The garden is free of charge and open to the public from sunrise to sunset everyday of the year; garden walk events are scheduled periodically from April through October.  Come alone or bring the family!

FREE and open to the public; powered by Donations and Volunteers.

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, most events, including Butterfly Garden Walks, have been postponed.  Follow the link to register for this event, and you'll be notified when these events resume.
