If traveling from the South:

The Visitor Center opens at 7:30, but outdoor restrooms are available at the Big Mineral Day Use Area.  You may prefer to avoid construction and come in via North 75. West on Route 902 to 289 North, then West Route 82 to Southmayd Road:

Directions

Master Naturalist Jack Chiles will lead our Early Birding event, weather permitting. Bring binoculars or borrow ours.  Meet at the Visitor Center, bird and walk about two miles, at a slow pace, on Harris Creek Trail and return in time for the Second Saturday program.

Note: Bird Walks are not held in the hottest months, and may be cancelled due to inclement weather.  Please Register so we may inform you via email of unforseen changes/cancellations.
