Photo Club Event: Photo Scavenger Hunt

The Friends of Hagerman NWR Nature Photography Club will have a Photo Scavenger Hunt.

Photo club members, guests, and visitors are welcome to participate in the photo scavenger hunt. No registration is required. Everyone is welcome. Adults and youth. Beginners and advanced. Use phones, tablets, or cameras.

7:00 am. A list of photo scavenger hunt categories will be available in the Visitor Center starting at 7:00 am. The Visitor Center will be open early at 7:00 am for photographers that like to shoot in the early morning light. Sunrise is expected to be 7:40 am. Visitor Center will close at the regular time of 4:00 pm.

• Pick up a category list from the Visitor Center between 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. Go out on the Hagerman NWR refuge to capture photographs that match each category. Use your creativity! There is no wrong interpretation of the categories.
• You can start at any time on Saturday, October 28th. Take as much time as you want on that date. There's no contest for getting done the fastest or completing all categories. Just have fun!
• What might be one of the categories??? Maybe "Pattern and Texture" will be a category. You can photograph anything that has a pattern or texture.

We will present a slideshow of photo club members' photos during the November 18th photo club meeting. It will be fun to see what everyone interprets for each category.

How to submit your photos for the slideshow at the November 11th photo club meeting.

• We ask that photos you submit were taken on October 28th on the grounds of Hagerman NWR.
• Send only 1 photo per category. You do not need to send a photo for each category. Choose your favorites!
• Maximum file size is 2 MB per photo.
• Filename of each image should include the category and your name. Filename example: Pattern_and_Texture_Lisa_Wilkins.jpg.
• Send your images to FOHphotoclub@gmail.com no later than Sunday, November 5th. Images received after November 5th will not be included in the slideshow.
• To ensure the slideshow does not get too lengthy, we ask that only photo club members submit their photos. Now might be an opportune time to join the photo club and share your photos with others. Click here to become a member of Friends of Hagerman and select a membership with Photo Club.
