Refuge Update:

All Areas, including the Visitor Center, will be closed July 10 - 11 for Aerial Hog Control

Wildlife Drive is PARTIALLY open and had some road grader work before the rain today. The deluge of rain this morning did not do any favors for the road and left the west end a no-go. Once you pass Egret Road Wildlife Drive remains closed due to horrible road conditions. Please don’t drive around the barricade because the gate at the southwest end of the road is locked and you cannot get out. Plover, Tern and Egret Roads are closed to vehicles but you can walk or ride a bicycle on them. The low water crossing north of the Visitor Center remains flooded and closed. Remember-no fishing in the marshes off Wildlife Drive or the pad roads. Roads in red on the map in the photos are closed to vehicles. Trails are open, but not fully cleared yet so use caution.
