Photo Club Event: Perseid Meteor Shower Photo Shoot

Join the Friends of Hagerman NWR Nature Photography Club for a night photo shoot at Hagerman NWR of the Perseid Meteor Shower.

This event is limited to FOHNWR Nature Photography Club members only. Registration is not required. We have permission to stay in the refuge after dark. If you are not a member, click here to become a member of Friends of Hagerman and select a membership with Photo Club.

Sunday, August 11: Meet at the Crow Hill trail head before 10:30 pm. We will park and set up equipment at the trail head. This should provide a nice photo shoot aiming northeast across Lake Texoma.

Please arrive BEFORE 10:30 pm. By 10:30 pm people will already have set up their cameras and tripods and started photographing. If you arrive after 10:30 pm, your headlights will be shining directly into camera lenses.

What to wear/bring: Hiking shoes, insect repellent, water, lawn chairs. Please use only red-light flashlights or headlamps. White lights may affect the photography. 

There are no facilities (restrooms) at Crow Hill.
