All hiking trails and major roads are closed due to flooding, including Wildlife Drive.  The Visitor Center is open, and the Butterfly Garden is beautiful!  Second Saturday Presentations, Butterfly Garden Walks and Nature'Ology will be held as scheduled.

Quick! Name all of the famous rabbits that you know from television, books, movies, or holidays!  You can probably think of quite a few!  Bugs Buddy, Peter Rabbit, The Energizer Bunny, Rabbit in Winnie-the-Pooh, The Velveteen Rabbit, The Cadbury Bunny, The Easter Bunny, Peter Rabbit, Peter Cottontail, and many more. But, what do you know about rabbits in the wild? Let's explore these cute animals a little further.

Rabbits are common in stories, cartoons, and especially on certain holidays.  In this lesson, we'll lear about different types of rabbits, their habitats, diet, and special physical features that help them survive in the wild. Each child will make a craft to take home and have fun participating in rabbit activities.  Come join us on March 16 for a free class for youth ages 5-10. Registration required.
